Whether you’re working in animation, audio drama, or advertising, nothing brings your characters to life like a quality voice over. I have a vast character range, an aptitude for both comedic and dramatic performances, and a strong sense for whether a moment calls for something naturalistic or heightened.
I have performed voice overs for ads, educational videos, and animation, and I’ve been fortunate enough to voice original characters in the key casts for cartoons that have been broadcast on Nickelodeon, CBC Canada, ABC, SBS, and Channel 10.
"Fabian is a talented and versatile voice actor with the ability to embody multiple characters with playful precision. As a creator and producer, having Fabian in the booth means you'll get more than just what you need. You'll get real talent, genuine range and you'll hear your characters amplified through Fabian's skill for drawing out comedy and heart in equal portions."
- Dan Nixon, Co-Creator and Creative Producer 'It's Andrew!'
“Fabian has an impressive range of voices; he can effortlessly shift from a nerdy, witty character, to an old grandpa. He took direction incredibly well and brought the perfect tone and emotion to the project, elevating it with minimal back-and-forth.”
- Arunwan Hwangcharoen, Director at ClickView
Alright, let’s hear some.
You can listen to my Corporate & Character VO Reel below…
Audio only? I’m not Amish. I NEED VISUALS.
I understand. Here’s a supercut of all the characters I voiced in Suspect Moustache …
All I ask of you is this; don’t think of these character voices as a set menu… because the chef would like to cook you something special.
One of my favourite things is creating new voices for new characters, so if you’d like a bespoke character crafted for your project, tell me all about it here.
How are you able to do so many different voices?
It’s a combination of instinct, analysis, practice, and autism.
Who are your VO inspirations?
Like many, I grew up idolising the greats; Mel Blanc, Tress MacNeille, Frank Welker, Billy West et al. I was also inspired by the VO direction of Andrea Romano, who would often contrast naturalism against heightened settings.
Do you also direct voice over sessions?
Indeed I do! You can learn more about my directing here.
What are your VO rates?
I go by the voice over industry rates set by the MEAA. But if that doesn’t fit your budget, and I like your project, then please feel free to make me an offer. Don’t take the piss though.
Do they animate the cartoons before you record the voices?
Typically, no, not unless we’re recording ADR. The process is much easier if the cast records before animation starts.
Nah, I swear I’ve seen it done the other way round.
Are you thinking of the start of “Mrs Doubtfire”?
Oh, yes! That was it. Thank you.
All good.
